What we check on a Shopify store

A Shopify store can look fine to a shopper and still be hard for an AI system to read. The web scan and the Shopify app each look at different parts of it, and each block below says which one does the check.

Product data
When the scan recognizes a Shopify store, it reads the store's own public product data for up to 30 product pages in the sample and checks whether the Product structured data lists every version a shopper can buy, keeps each version's SKU and barcode on its own offer, and carries the full description. The scan also compares the price and availability in the structured data with what the page shows.

In the Shopify app: The Visibility Mesh app lists material, care and size guide facts that your product descriptions do not state, and quotes the words it found.
Schema and structured data
Structured data is code on a page that states what the page is about, such as a product name or a price. Schema and Structured Data is one of the five areas the Visibility Mesh scan scores, and each finding quotes what we read on the page.
Collections, in the Shopify app
The Visibility Mesh app reads every collection in your store and shows which ones have no description, a short description, no meta description or a short search title.
Crawler access
If your store blocks an AI crawler, that crawler cannot read your pages. The Visibility Mesh scan checks whether 8 AI crawlers are allowed to reach your pages.

Fix text
Each finding comes with the change to make, written for your store. When the fix belongs in a specific theme file, the fix plan names that file.

The full fix plan comes as a spreadsheet that you or your developer can work through in order.

What you can count on

We read your public pages only, and we never change your site without your approval.
Every report states the scan date and the depth we scanned, so a later scan can be compared fairly.
We rescan at the same depth with the same methodology version, because changing the ruler between two measurements proves nothing.
On managed work, we report what we observed after each change, measured against the baseline in your own GA4.

What we do not do

We do not promise rankings, citations, recommendations, traffic or sales, since no one controls what an AI assistant answers.
We do not stuff keywords, mass produce AI content or spam schema.
We do not sell backlink packages.
We will never claim to put you first in any AI assistant.

Questions about Shopify AI SEO

Does the free scan need access to my Shopify admin?

No, it does not. The free scan reads the public pages of your store, the same pages a shopper or a crawler can open. We need only your store address.

Will Visibility Mesh change my store?

The scan and the web dashboard never write to your store. You or your developer make each fix, or our team makes them as a paid service if you ask us to.

Which plan should I start with?

Start with the free scan, since it reads 5 pages and asks for no card. If the findings matter to you, choose the app for a single Shopify store, or a web plan if you want a report to hand to a developer.

Can I have my data deleted?

Yes, you can. Email support@visibilitymesh.com and we will delete it.
